 | | 04/04/2008 – ARBURG has defined the efficient use of energy as a corporate objective in 2008. All measures are now being brought together with the “Energy Efficiency Allround” initiative. ARBURG envisages a holistic approach to the efficient use of energy. The goal is not simply to produce the products using as little energy as possible, but rather to use our products and our expertise to efficiently minimise energy consumption among our customers as well.
| |
An energy-efficiency label identifies all energy-efficient products like the electric ALLROUNDERs A, the ALLROUNDERs S advance or ALLROUNDERs with an electromechanical dosage drive.
| |
Lower energy consumption are achieved on a company-wide basis through production optimisation, for example by reducing metal casting activities, by saving electricity through natural ventilation and energy-saving bulbs, by heat recovery technology and the use of block-type thermal power plants and renewable energy sources such as solar power and geothermal energy.
| |
Where products are concerned, in addition to the use of energy-efficient ALLROUNDERs, the entire injection-moulding process, which is very energy intensive, must be examined. Thanks to decades of experience, ARBURG has comprehensive know-how at its disposal in order to offer its customers extensive support with regard to energy-efficient production.
| |
With its series of international events, “Technology on Tour 2008”, ARBURG is approaching its customers and presenting the topic energy efficiency from a theoretical and a practical viewpoint. This includes seminars and open houses throughout the world, as well as a truck, which has an electric ALLROUNDER 320 A on board and will tour Europe on ARBURG’s behalf.
| |
The clear aim is to foster all-round co-operation with our customers in order to promote energy-efficient production systems. “Energy Efficiency Allround” will be a comprehensive campaign that will involve the company and its customers, achieving significant benefits for both sides.
